An introduction...

Well this is my first ever Blog, and as such it is likely to be something of a strange affair, at least in the beginning. Hopefully, with experience, the posts will improve and become more interesting.

Over time, I have looked at various possibilities for making extra income, with varying degrees of success.

After a year of reasonably successful share trading I decided to look to the Currency (Forex) markets as the next step forward, but was very much aware of the different nature of this market, and that I would do well to invest in some training. Having looked around I settled on ForexTrainingWorks.com as the provider, and signed up for their 4 week course which I started in January just passed.

Sid and Kris are very clear, that no 4 week course can make you a safe and profitable trader straight from the beginning ... that it will take weeks, maybe months, of practice in a Demo account before I will become a competant trader, and I believe them totally.

They provided fantastic support and encouragement throughout the course, and email queries were always answered quickly ... what can I say, I was thoroughly pleased with the course, and have now signed up to continue with the apprenticeship phase of my Forex Training.

I am trading a Demo account ... and I started with a balance of $10,000 ... I can add now that a few days into this and my "account" is already in the RED ... it will be interesting for me to see how long it would take to bring it back into the black after the start I've had.

This blog is primarily for me ... to track my progress, not on a day by day basis but perhaps a few times a week I will update it.

My aim will be to look back after a period of time ... to see my improvement ... to see some of the mistakes I've made ... and look back over lessons learned.

If you would like to follow along ... you are welcome to do so.

Cheers,

Nick
